"Pedal Faster!"

Well, had me a little wake up call about leadership. After that little tiff, my day has become a brilliant one.
Amanda's baby belly gave me good luck after rubbing it :]
I was introduced to a new meditation spot (and it is perfect for watching sunsets). I simplified the amounts of stuff I have accumulated over the past two years at college. I saw the lovely lady from The Daybook-but was too scared to say hello! I ate original tart frozen yogurt [yum yum] Rode a tandem bike for the first time And someone else besides me says things are an adventure-it is my favorite word On top of it all, I am being uber productive and getting all my finals and homework done early!
Hello temple tomorrow and goodnight to a wonderful day.

This day for the win!

BEST.DAY.EVER.

Again I will state this fact in a different form.

This could possibly be in the top happiest days of my life.

1st off Lauren told me she is engaged, getting married in the San Diego Temple next April and I am in the wedding (wedding number tres that I will be apart of!!)

2nd I was super productive-waking up at 7:30 am does this-and I customized my own feather earing from my favorite hippie in town.

3rd I got to walk around with Kylynn at the gym to shed some pounds and stress of the day. She is the number one spirit lifter. Having a bad day? Go to her for some great insight.

4th on our way home I kindly collected a mustache poster off of a telephone pole. Score.

5th recieved an annoymous, surprise gift of playdough and glitter glue on our doorstep (my roommates got equally secret sweet gifts)

6th Russell called me and told me he is going to Zimbabwe, Africa on his mission and we will be exchanging gifts from our countries!

Aw I will sleep good tonight :]

Now here are some pictures from this weekend's festival of colors! Holi Krishna!

Inspirational Sunday

"There are two freedoms - the false, where a man is free to do what he likes; the true, where he is free to do what he ought."
~Charles Kingsley
Today, and in past sundays, the themes of the lessons has been on relying on the Lord. Especially through prayer. Lets be honest with ourselves, do we actually listen to the Lord and do what He wants us to do? Or do we manipulate our answers we recieve with our emotions and outer influences? Just pray about it. Don't pray quickly, but pray with paper- as in don't kneel, get up and sleep, kneel and ponder the things God will tell you. As you pray diligetnly and do what you ought, God will always lead you in the right direction.

A little something or other

I am getting creative tomorrow.
I need to plan a service project for my ward, plan a ward activity, think of something to do for Nepal, distinguish what is good for making money for the place I work at (The College Ave Deli!!-if you spend your money there you create a job for me :] ), hopefully win a Kate Spad bag from here-if I did I could finally cross off something in my bucket list book-hopefully win more giveaways (I can be greedy can't I?), participate in a a record holding dodgeball event, extravadance and a million other things before the day is through. I just hope I have time to throw in a few spurts of arts and crafts. Today is going to be one long day, good thing I started it off admiring my new Chacos and looking at Russ's photography.

p.s. My heart is always happy when I see regulars come into my work and just be full of smiles and good conversations, especially after I have had to deal with class A jerks. Ladies, dont encourage obnoxious and rude behavior by dating these boys. And guys, dont encourage obnoxious and rude behavior by being their friend. Kthnaks.

Walk the walk

I rekindled my love for walking- yes, even in the cold. I have missed the companionship of the outdoors and the things you will happen upon as you meander around town. I found that these town dwellers have become obsessed with graffetti and random stickers.

I embrace all kinds of art. An one such art form I am learning to become a little of a fanatic about is barefoot running. Yup, I am now a fan of five finger shoes and run-a-moc. The hippie in my heart is jumping for joy as I put more feathers in my hair, look for yoga mats (so I don't have to use the smelly, ring-worm infested mats of the schools anymore), and turn my new-found (trying-to-love) love of running to barefoot style. Did I mention I am really hoping to get into a canyoneering class in the spring? Outdoors I will embrace you again as soon as all this snow melts!!!! To further my declaration of love for the outdoors, I am going to attempt at making a hamock before next semester starts. So here I go life, lets get productive!

Oh Mr. Sun decided to finally pay us a visit!

Oh and then Mr. Todd finally decided to visit from Provo! What a nice surprise, especially when I find out he is here in the form of him walking by my apartment window, it taking me a few seconds to realize it is him and throwing my cereal all over the place to greet him at the door.

We walked home in a blizzard. Yup those are mini snow mountains on our foreheads.

First attempt at DIY hair wrap which then inspired us to make a book of pictures we want to take. picture of creative juices flowing right here.

and dont you forget it!! (not by me obviously)

second floor is the quiet zone. do we obey? no definantly not, especially when we crawl under the desks to scare people.

Inspirational Sunday (and a promise)

No matter how cold it is,
no matter how much snow there is,
and no matter how miserable it is when you walk outside...
spring always comes.
-along for the ride-
OK guys, seriously, I am slacking in all aspects of life lately. I am making a public promise to start being on top of things and getting things done. Namely blogging and reading. Yup and I keep my promises.
