21 days till 21
I decided to have a 21 day count down to my 21st birthday. This spring up here in Idaho is proving to be an outrageous, adventure party that never ends and it inspired me. Everyday till I turn 21 I am going to do something meaningful. Anything from running 12 miles to making a new friend to climbing onto a roof.
June 6th was the start, and it was a pretty good first day. I went to the temple that morning with my ward, and it was one of the best trips I have gone on. I am so impressed with those worthy guys and gals. Then, I got to go see the one and only Bill Cosby! For two hours he just had a whole stadium of people laughing their heads off. Hark yes! It was like he was our very own funny grandpa reminiscing about the past and telling you how to be in the future-it was a cultural experience of a lifetime. If anyone wants a refresher of how hilarious this 74 year old man is, look at the classic "our dad is great, gives us chocolate cake". But it doesn't stop there, oh no. Later, I was informed by my best roommate that our friend Goose invited us over to watch a kung fu movie and eat otter pops. In case you did not know, I am a HUGE (and I don't think I can stress it enough) fan of good kung fu movies. I am always in the mood for those. Mmm, mmm.
Live bravely!

Off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Idaho!
Well the damage has been done. I have picked a major and decided to go back to school. What is it that this lost soul has finally put her heart into you ask? Drum roll please........
Integrated Studio Arts with a minor in clothing construction!
What is that you ask? (sheesh so many questions) I will tell you. It is a degree that allows me to take all the art classes I need to become a fabric designer. Yes that is what I want to do. Create beautiful fabrics that have been inspired by the people and things that inspire me. I believe this is my perfect creative outlet that will allow me to give. I aspire to create fabrics that will help children and people in general who have very sensitive skin. And I want to be able to learn all types of fabric making such as Ikat and more about batiking, screen printing and just making everyday life bright with all these ideas that are now coming to my head. I know this is for me because 1) I finally feel God's approval 2) ever since I decided it is like a faucet of ideas has turned on on full blast.
It is quiet exciting to have finally bravely, become me.
Let's bring on the learning! (it has been too long)

I think I might be getting closer....
"Beauty is in the way you live. Enjoy your surroundings. Let them inspire you. Follow your own path, and approach everything you do with love in your heart."
-Amy Butler
Amy Butler is a wonderful designer. Look at her fabrics for any color inspiration you need.
Enjoy!

I forgot about the inspiration!
Since Sunday was only a day ago (yeah yeah almost two) here is a little blog that made me shed tears and made my heart swell. This is a story about Tripp and how much love mother loved him. Truly a blog that raises awareness and shows you what true love is.

I'M BACK!
I have gone and traveled a part of the world, and now I am back for the long run (at least the time being). I traveled and lived in China, visited Thailand and had an adventure of a lifetime that I want to tell you all about. I cut off all my hair, just altered a whole bunch of my clothing and I am ready to take on the blog world again. Hopefully your eyes are ready to read all my ramblings!
cheers.

Keep on loving and wandering the world friends!
cheers.
